Goodbye Sweet Fur-Child!

When it is time to say goodbye to one of our fur-kids, the emotions that we feel are overwhelming. It is even harder when we have to make the choice for them. My dear friend recently had to do this. Her final gift to her beloved Bailey, was helping her to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Amber, this one is for you. Bailey was blessed to have you as her mom! RIP sweet Bailey….you will be missed forever!

Dear Mommy

My last day was quite hard for you
I know it crushed your soul,
But what you did was right for me
Your braveness made me whole!

My body could not carry on
I used up all its play,
And in your heart, you knew it was
To be my final day!

With tears, you took me to our vet
With just a bit of hope,
But everyone agreed with you
My body could not cope!

I felt your arms around me, mom
Your love came shining through,
And as you cried those tears for me
I wanted to help you!

I tried real hard to wag my tail
And kiss you on your face,
For you were sending me to Him
With dignity and grace!

Oh mom, I had a special life
With you right from the start,
As your first kid, I’ll always be
Forever in your heart!

Let Aidan and sweet Bella know
That from my cloud above,
I’ll always have my eyes on them
Protecting with my love!

For up here, I can see again
Still bumping into things,
They say it takes a little time
To work these Angel wings!

My body is now full of life
My puppyness is back,
My mind is sharp, my heart is full
There’s nothing that I lack!

Though yesterday was hard for you
I thank you for your choice,
I needed you to do this, mom
You had to be my voice!

With love and licks, Bailey

Suicide or Murder? Think about it!

When a child commits suicide, it is often because they thought they had no choice. If the suicide was due to unrelenting bullying, in my humble opinion, the bully, or bullies as the case may be, committed murder! Remember, words can cut like a knife!

MY LAST GOODBYE

My Last Goodbye

Today I had to say goodbye
And close his casket door,
His bully got the best of him
And he could take no more!

He really tried to stay around
And make it through this year,
But every day was just the same
He tired of the fear!

My child was a special kid
Who had so much to give,
He would have helped to make the world
A better place to live!

I hope his bully feels the pain
That now lives in my soul,
If murder was his game of choice
Then he has reached his goal!

I hope he knows just what he did
And how he took a life,
I hope he knows his words were cruel
And acted like a knife!

I know he was not present when
My child’s life was done,
But still, he’s guilty just the same
As if he shot the gun!

On earth he’ll get away with this
It’s fact, most bullies do,
But in the end he’ll have to pay
Because He knows what’s true!

I’m bitter now and full of grief
But for this boy I’ll pray,
“Dear God please make his meanness end
So more don’t come your way!”

WHAT IF TODAY WAS YOUR LAST DAY? WOULD YOU BE A BETTER PERSON?

If we all tried to live like every day was our last day, would the world be a better place? Just a thought!

LAST DAY

Last Day!

If this was your last day on earth
How would you want to live?
Would you stop taking all you could
And only try to give?

If this was your last day on earth
Would you forgive your foes?
Would you drop meanness from your heart
And see how far love goes?

If this was your last day on earth
Do you think you would speak?
Would you help others who are down
And save them from their weak?

If this was your last day on earth
Would you make your wrongs right?
Would you let other people know
That love is God’s true light?

This could be your last day on earth
So why waste it on hate?
Do good and when you’re called above
You’ll find an opened gate!

Do Not Text & Drive!

It only takes one second for a serious accident to happen and change lives forever. Please, focus on driving. You can text when you get to wherever it is you are going!

THE CHRISTMAS TEXT

The Christmas Text

Yesterday when I woke up
My heart was full of glee,
I planned to shop for lots of toys
To place beneath the tree!

I called my friend and picked her up
Soon we were on our way,
We listened to some Christmas tunes
To brighten up our day!

Then all at once, there was a crash
You drove into my car,
You skipped across a lane or two
How did you get that far?

You seemed to be quite shaken up
Tried hard to catch your breath,
You did not realize right away
That what you did caused death!

My friend and I died instantly
Too fast to feel the pain,
Why did you have to drive and text
Did you have much to gain?

So now as Christmas day is near
With handcuffs you’ll be bound,
Please think of us and what you did
As we’re placed in the ground!

Yesterday when I woke up
My heart was full of glee,
But just like that, you took my life
No Christmas joy for me!

LET THE SEASON BEGIN!

This time of year is magical. It gives us hope and renews our faith. However, for some, it also brings on a deep inner sadness. I think that most of us experience the highs and lows of the holiday season. I also think that for some, the sadness is overwhelming. It is important for us to be aware of those around us and to try and reach out to help those in need. It is just as important to be aware of how you are feeling, and if you need help, let those around you know. After all, we are in this together and together, we can do anything.

Stockings & Bows

As we begin to decorate
Hang stockings and red bows,
Please keep in mind that many folks
Are dealing with some lows!

Though Christmastime is filled with joy
It’s also filled with tears,
For in our mind, it brings about
The changes of past years!

The couple you saw buying toys
Two children by their side,
Are barely hanging on right now
Last year, their baby died!

The man who asked you for some help
So he can make ends meet,
Does not want presents for his kids
He just wants them to eat!

The woman you saw in the store
Whose actions made you mad,
Is dealing with her husband’s death
And kids, that have no dad!

The family who sat down to eat
And chose to say a prayer,
Now fill a plate with memories
To set by grandma’s chair!

The child you saw throw a fit
And thought, “He is not right,”
Is dealing with his first real loss
His puppy died last night!

So as we start to decorate
Hang stockings and red bows,
We need to say a loving prayer
To help folks through their lows!

For Christmas is a wondrous time
That’s filled with love and light,
A time to honor His great gift
And do all that is right!

With joyous hope and Yuletide cheer
Let this great season start,
But keep in mind that some folks need
A blessing from our heart!

Bullies Kill!

The new school year is upon us. Unfortunately, for some children, it brings nothing but fear and shame. They know that they will, once again, have to deal with being bullied. We need to be on high alert and make sure that our children are safe! Please, if you suspect that your child is being bullied, or that your child is a bully, do something about it! They need our help! This is the only way to put an end to bullycide!

A Message From Above!

It is so important for children to understand that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You cannot undo ending your life. However, you can, with the help of others, put an end to bullying. It is not easy, but it is worth fighting through. You, the one being bullied, are worth fighting for! Please, do not give up!

From My Cloud

Hello to all of you down there
I’m speaking from my cloud,
Please listen very carefully
I’ll try to say this loud!

A bully took my life away
He made my days pure hell,
The things he said cut through my skin
And pierced my inner shell!

There was no need for physical
He knew his words would kill,
For putting other people down
Was truly, his one skill!

From up here I can see that he
Has new kids on his list,
And if we let him carry on
Then soon they won’t exist!

I wish to share what I have learned
Since I left life on Earth,
No one can tell you you’re not great
And take away your worth!

You have to realize who you are
And what your life could be,
If you would stand up for yourself
And not give up, like me!

A bully should not rule your world
And make you want to cry,
A bully should not put you down
So much, you choose to die!

If I could have a second chance
To redo what I did,
I’d stay on Earth and fight it out
Prove I’m the stronger kid!

In time the bully will fade out
A broken man he’ll be,
And if I would have chose to live
I’d be amazing me!

I let one person make me feel
That I did not belong,
But let me tell you, now I know
My feelings were quite wrong!

So if you face a bully boy
Or bully girl this year,
Remember to stand up to them
And prove you have no fear!

For you are so much greater than
The person that they are,
And you will see, as life goes on
They’ll fail, you’ll be a star!
