Goodbye Sweet Fur-Child!

When it is time to say goodbye to one of our fur-kids, the emotions that we feel are overwhelming. It is even harder when we have to make the choice for them. My dear friend recently had to do this. Her final gift to her beloved Bailey, was helping her to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Amber, this one is for you. Bailey was blessed to have you as her mom! RIP sweet Bailey….you will be missed forever!

Dear Mommy

My last day was quite hard for you
I know it crushed your soul,
But what you did was right for me
Your braveness made me whole!

My body could not carry on
I used up all its play,
And in your heart, you knew it was
To be my final day!

With tears, you took me to our vet
With just a bit of hope,
But everyone agreed with you
My body could not cope!

I felt your arms around me, mom
Your love came shining through,
And as you cried those tears for me
I wanted to help you!

I tried real hard to wag my tail
And kiss you on your face,
For you were sending me to Him
With dignity and grace!

Oh mom, I had a special life
With you right from the start,
As your first kid, I’ll always be
Forever in your heart!

Let Aidan and sweet Bella know
That from my cloud above,
I’ll always have my eyes on them
Protecting with my love!

For up here, I can see again
Still bumping into things,
They say it takes a little time
To work these Angel wings!

My body is now full of life
My puppyness is back,
My mind is sharp, my heart is full
There’s nothing that I lack!

Though yesterday was hard for you
I thank you for your choice,
I needed you to do this, mom
You had to be my voice!

With love and licks, Bailey

God Chose You To Be A Miracle Mom!

This is for all of the moms who are raising a special child! You are amazing! God chose you because He knew you could do it. It takes a special person to do what you do!

AUT

Miracle Moms!

This is for all the special moms
Who work hard every day,
To give their special kids the chance
To grow in every way!

God picked you out from all of us
You are the chosen few,
He knew you’d put your heart and soul
In all you had to do!

To raise a special little one
Is not an easy task,
Some days you will be overwhelmed
Why me, is what you’ll ask!

Your child needs some extra care
The world can be so cruel,
But that is why God picked you out
To raise His precious jewel!

You have to deal with struggles that
Most moms don’t have to face,
You have to make decisions that
Most moms could not embrace!

We all could learn a thing or two
From watching how you live,
It’s true, you create miracles
With all the love you give!

The rest of us will never know
The love you get to share,
For children that have special needs
Give love that is so rare!

So now you know we think you are
“A miracle on earth,”
And that is why God picked you out
To have a special birth!

WHAT IF TODAY WAS YOUR LAST DAY? WOULD YOU BE A BETTER PERSON?

If we all tried to live like every day was our last day, would the world be a better place? Just a thought!

LAST DAY

Last Day!

If this was your last day on earth
How would you want to live?
Would you stop taking all you could
And only try to give?

If this was your last day on earth
Would you forgive your foes?
Would you drop meanness from your heart
And see how far love goes?

If this was your last day on earth
Do you think you would speak?
Would you help others who are down
And save them from their weak?

If this was your last day on earth
Would you make your wrongs right?
Would you let other people know
That love is God’s true light?

This could be your last day on earth
So why waste it on hate?
Do good and when you’re called above
You’ll find an opened gate!

LET THE SEASON BEGIN!

This time of year is magical. It gives us hope and renews our faith. However, for some, it also brings on a deep inner sadness. I think that most of us experience the highs and lows of the holiday season. I also think that for some, the sadness is overwhelming. It is important for us to be aware of those around us and to try and reach out to help those in need. It is just as important to be aware of how you are feeling, and if you need help, let those around you know. After all, we are in this together and together, we can do anything.

Stockings & Bows

As we begin to decorate
Hang stockings and red bows,
Please keep in mind that many folks
Are dealing with some lows!

Though Christmastime is filled with joy
It’s also filled with tears,
For in our mind, it brings about
The changes of past years!

The couple you saw buying toys
Two children by their side,
Are barely hanging on right now
Last year, their baby died!

The man who asked you for some help
So he can make ends meet,
Does not want presents for his kids
He just wants them to eat!

The woman you saw in the store
Whose actions made you mad,
Is dealing with her husband’s death
And kids, that have no dad!

The family who sat down to eat
And chose to say a prayer,
Now fill a plate with memories
To set by grandma’s chair!

The child you saw throw a fit
And thought, “He is not right,”
Is dealing with his first real loss
His puppy died last night!

So as we start to decorate
Hang stockings and red bows,
We need to say a loving prayer
To help folks through their lows!

For Christmas is a wondrous time
That’s filled with love and light,
A time to honor His great gift
And do all that is right!

With joyous hope and Yuletide cheer
Let this great season start,
But keep in mind that some folks need
A blessing from our heart!

God’s Plan!

Every time a baby is born, it is a blessing from Him! When there is a special birth, one that is different from the norm, people tend to think that something is wrong! Well, maybe those people are the ones who are wrong. A special birth may just mean that something is right! God has a plan, and He knows what He is doing!

Something’s Right!

They say that something’s wrong with you
But we don’t think it’s true,
We think God has a special plan
Saved only for a few.

To them you do not seem the same
As all the other’s born,
They look so sad and talk to us
As if we should just mourn.

We do not understand their view
We guess they just don’t see,
That you’re the one we’ve waited for
To fill our destiny.

To them you’re not the perfect one
You’re different from the rest,
But we love you with all our heart
To us, you are the best.

Your struggles will be difficult
Together, we’ll get through,
It does not matter what they think
The fact is we love you.

You are a special Gift From God
He Blessed us with your light,
They may think something’s wrong with you
But we know something’s right!

My Angel Dad!

My dad died when I was nineteen. His death almost destroyed me. However, as the years went by, I realized how blessed I was, and still am, because my dad is my Guardian Angel. He watches over me and protects me. There have been instances in my life that I could feel his presence, of this I am sure. These words came from my heart because of my Angel dad. In my heart, he has spoken these words to me.

ME & DAD

When Heaven Called

When Heaven called to take me home
You cried sweet tears for me,
I was so sick, without a cure
So He helped set me free!

Though life was short, it was quite sweet
And yes, some times were bad,
But better times meant so much more
Because I lived some sad!

I know my death has caused you grief
But please just think of this,
When you arrive at Heaven’s door
I’ll greet you with a kiss!

For now you have to keep the faith
And know within your heart,
That even though you can’t see me
We’re never far apart!

With angel wings my soul flies high
I keep watch over you,
And deep within your loving heart
You know this to be true!

You’re never far away from me
I’m with you when you cry,
And when you go to sleep at night
I wipe your teardrops dry!

On certain days you feel a sense
A warmth just known by few,
It’s something that is Heaven sent
A hug from me to you!

When Heaven called to take me home
Please know the time was right,
At peace, I went to be with Him
My darkness turned to light!
